Mangalore MLA lodges complaint against ‘nuisance’ caller
Mangaluru: Mangalore MLA and deputy leader of Congress in Karnataka Assembly UT Khader has filed a complaint against a caller for creating a nuisance through call and message.
“I was in a program today morning. When I saw my mobile later there were two missed calls and a message from a number. The sender of the message claimed to be Kanishka Singh and introduced himself as PA to Rahul Gandhi ji. When I called the number, the person introduced himself with the same identity and disconnected the call saying that he would call me again in half an hour,” Khader told Deccan Chronicle.
Khader who grew suspicious checked the number on Truecaller which showed the name of AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal.
“I called Venugopal and told him about this. I have also filed a complaint with the cyber police. I do not know the intention of the caller. But as I found something is not correct, I have filed a complaint with the police,” he said.
The police are yet to file an FIR.
