Tell people what we have done: BJP HQ
Vijayawada: BJP leaders in AP were asked by the party headquarters as to why they did not make use of the services of Union Ministers from the State to spread the message of a number of Central schemes.
The party headquarters proposed to send its Ministers to the State in the wake of the critical remarks against the Union Budget by Telugu Desam leaders who said that AP was ignored.
Despite the large scale funding to AP, the BJP leaders were not able to send across the message to the masses, the headquarters felt.
To counter remarks by Telugu Desam leaders, the BJP top brass was planning to send Union Ministers to the State in phases.
BJP seniors — Somu Veerraju, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, Purandheswari and Kanna Lakshminarayana were reportedly asked as to why they were able to make an attempt to explain to the people of AP about the release of Central funds for various projects and schemes. "We have given funds for the construction of Amaravati city, Polavaram and also to the schemes like Chandranna Beema,” the BJP bosses said.
“We have to continuously explain as to what we have done for the State of Andhra Pradesh. Take the assistance and advice of the senior leaders of the party and Union Ministers to tell the people how we have been trying to support the cause of the State," BJP seniors told State leaders.
“Even in the case of TD’s decision to distance itself from BJP, the State BJP leaders have been asked to be judicious in making any remarks,” they said.
Following the queries from various national media channels about “Naidu’s Namaste to BJP”, and subsequent developments in New Delhi, State party leaders were advised to watch the comments and remarks of the TD camp ‘very carefully’.
