Muralidhar Rao: Comment made out of humility
Mysuru: Denying that his party had any kind of arrangement with the JD (S) in the state, BJP general secretary in charge of the party's affairs in Karnataka, Muralidhar Rao, claimed here on Wednesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's comments in favour of its supremo, H.D. Deve gowda were merely made out of "humility, politeness and political courtesy to enhance the spirit of democracy," and nothing more.
Speaking to reporters, he stressed that the BJP was the real alternative to the "misrule" of the Congress. "If you vote for the JD (S) it will be like voting for the Congress as they both have a similar DNA. They stand for appeasement and ideologically share similar principles. Their opposition to each other is only a pretence,” he said.
