Akhilesh Yadav calls on KCR
Hyderabad: Samajwadi national president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav called on Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday morning. Apparently, the duo are holding discussion on forming an anti-BJP Third Front at the Centre, at Pragathi Bhavan.
The Telangana CM and BRS president KCR hosted lunch to Akhilesh Yadav.
Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Vemula Prashanth Reddy and MLC Palla Rajeswar Reddy accorded a warm welcome to the UP Chief Minister at the airport.
Speaking to reporters at the airport, Yadav said he would be able to comment only after meeting KCR.
However, he said that they all have one common goal to remove the BJP from power at the Centre.
Significantly, the BRS had skipped the meeting of opposition parties hosted by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar at Patna.
Akhilesh's meet with KCR comes a day after Congress Rahul Gandhi, at a meeting in Khammam, made it clear that they would not forge any alliance with the BRS.
MP Joginapalli Santosh Kumar, MLA Jeevan Reddy, former minister S Venugopalachari and others were present.
