KHAMMAM: A gigantic digital screen, displaying photographs of Congress leaders, current and former, was a major attraction at the Telangana Jana Garjana Sabha organised to mark the conclusion of CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s People’s March padayatra in Khammam on Sunday.
Associates of former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that such a big screen was never seen before to serve as the background on the dais.
Youngsters, as well as families, were seen taking selfies and photographs before the start of the meeting, against a backdrop of a montage of images of Congress leaders Indira Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Mallikarjun Kharge, A. Revanth Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Srinivas Reddy, interspersed with scenes from the padayatra.
The front portion of the dais was extended to an extent, at the centre, to allow leaders to get closer to the public and provide a hindrance-free viewing.
Besides, a side screen and a front screen also displayed the event, while cut-outs of leaders were installed across the grounds, with cranes also in play to set up the gigantic screen.
