CM cheating RTC staff: TPCC
HYDERABAD: Even as they welcomed the state government's move to merge TSRTC with the government, Congress leaders on Wednesday alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was intending to sell the corporation’s properties to private persons.
TPCC official spokesperson Srirangam Satyam alleged that ‘spoilsport’ Rao took the decision after the Congress had promised to include the merger in its manifesto.
Former MLC Ramulu Naik alleged that Rao’s only intention behind the announcement was to derive political advantage before the ensuing Assembly elections. He is hoodwinking all RTC employees, he said.
"Why did he take the decision after having earlier ruled out any such merger moves with regard to TSRTC?’ Naik wondered.
Meanwhile another spokesperson Sama Rammohan Reddy demanded the Chief Minister to fulfill promises made during the TSRTC employees strike, including clearing PF dues that stood at a staggering RS 3970 crore.
"The Chief Minister allocated funds for RTC in the budget but did not spend a single rupee on the loss-making corporation," he alleged.
