Edappadi Palaniswami, Panneerselvam must resign over suicide: TTV Dhinakaran
Puducherry: Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and his deputy O. Panneerselvam should resign owing moral responsibility for the suicide of medical aspirant Anitha, TTV Dhinakaran said on Saturday.
“Tamil Nadu does not need Neet at all. Anitha had scored 1176 marks out 1200 in plus-2 exams and if there was no Neet, she would have been a medical student,” he told reporters here.
To a question whether health minister C. Vijayabhaskar should resign on the issue, he said there was no need. “Let Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam resign. Once these two resign, things would be set right. Everything will be fine if these two go,” he said.
Dhinakaran said people of Tamil Nadu will not accept anything “imposed” on them and referred to the anti-Hindi agitation of 1960s that catapulted arch-rival DMK to power in 1967.
