BRS candidates kick off election campaign

Party leaders, who were denied tickets, stay away from electioneering

ADILABAD: The candidates of the ruling BRS party have kicked off their campaign in villages for the upcoming Assembly elections in the state. However, the party leaders, who were denied poll tickets, are not participating in the campaign in the erstwhile Adilabad district.

The BRS nominees are taking out rallies in the rural areas of their respective constituencies to send a strong message that they are ahead of their opponents in the election campaign.

However, party candidates such as Durgam Chinnaiah, who are facing ‘allegations’, are hesitant to start their campaign fearing that he might face opposition in the wake of sexual allegations by Shejal against him as she was campaigning against him in Bellampalli.

In Khanapur, BRS nominee Bhukya Johnson Rathod Naik launched his election campaign in the constituency while other those, who were denied tickets, were staying away from the campaign.

Asifabad ZP chairperson Kova Laxmi who has been given the BRS ticket, has started her poll campaign along with supporters and party activists in the constituency.

Meanwhile, Congress ticket aspirant Marsakola Saraswati is also campaigning in the villages with the hope that she will get the party ticket from the segment.
