Refer To Ma Po Si and Then Speak About Sanatana Dharma: Chilkur Priest To Udayanidhi
Udayanidhi Stalin, Tamil Nadu minister and son of Chief Minister MK Stalin, kicked off a controversy by comparing Sanatana Dharma with dengue and malaria.
Responding to these remarks, Rangarajan, the head priest of Chilkur Balaji temple, said: "Being in a Constitutional post, he should not make such non-sensical statements. Further, he challenged those objecting him to go to the court. We will not go to the court. Why should we go to the court? We urged TN people and Udayanidhi to read history."

The head priest of Chilkur Balaji temple also suggested that Udayanidhi ask his father MK Stalin about Ma Po Si (Mylai Ponnuswamy Sivagnanam), who wrote numerous books on Silapathikaram. You ask Stalin about his opinion on Dravidianism and Ma Po Si and then come back and talk about Sanatana Dharma. If Ma Po Si was not revered by your grandpa MK Karunanidhi, he would not have got so many seats. I have one suggestion for the TN people. You have enough non-sensical activities by the Dravidian parties. You have to start thinking properly and elect a person from the Sanatana Dharma who believes in the temple system, Lord Rama and Rama Rajya in this country. Sarve Jana Sukhinobhavantu."
Now, the DMK's disdain for Sanatana Dharma followed by the Tamilians, in specific, might prove costly for the party's fortunes in the upcoming general elections.
