YSRC Demands Chandrababu Naidu's Response to IT notices
Vijayawada: Government adviser Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Saturday demanded that Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu respond to I-T notices issued to him regarding collection of ₹118 crore in bribes during construction of temporary structures in Amaravati capital.
Ramakrishna Reddy underlined that YSRC has from the beginning pointing to collection of bribes and illegalities in Amaravati. Now, I-T notices to Naidu have revealed the facts.
The YSRC leader showed to media through PowerPoint presentation notices I-T had issued to Naidu. He quoted news published in Saturday’s Deccan Chronicle and explained in detail the I-T notices to Naidu. He stated that I-T department has made it clear how kickbacks have been received by Chandrababu Naidu through shell companies.
Ramakrishna Reddy demanded that Naidu respond to the I-T notices and their scanned copies in public domain. He pointed out that prior to serving Naidu notices, the house of former CM’s private secretary P. Srinivas and Manoj Vasudev Pardasany's houses had been searched.
The YSRC leader alleged that Naidu received kickbacks of ₹118.98 crore from two companies, namely L&T and Shapoorji Pallonji, through shell companies for giving them contracts in Amaravati. He pointed out that YSRC had questioned why TD government had given contracts to LNarendra&T and Shapoorji Pallonji at the highest prices.
Ramakrishna Reddy also referred to Prime Minister Modi saying that Chandrababu Naidu had converted Polavaram project into an ATM.
