\'Horse-trading’ has forced by-election on people, says Revanth
HYDERABAD: Alleging that the Munugode by-election was forced on the people, TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy blamed it on the ‘horse-trading’ model of democracy.
Responding to questions from media persons here on Monday, Reddy said that unlike other elections in which development of the constituency remained a major issue, this election was forced on people because of ‘horse-trading’.
Reddy asserted that despite the challenges, the Congress would fight it out and emerge victorious. “We were the first to officially announce the candidate for the Munugode by-election,” he said on the party’s head-start.
He said that the Congress will take forward the message on how BJP and TRS were engaged in horse-trading and cheating the voters.
“The TRS and BJP have failed to deliver despite each winning twice. If Congress is given a chance this time, a lesson will be taught to them. It will also pave the way for a constructive change with the people enjoying all benefits,” he added.
