Chhattisgarh: Modi Runs a Factory of Lying, Hurling Abuses': Kharge
Raipur: AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for targeting the Gandhi-Nehru family and said that the latter ran a factory of ‘lying and hurling abuses’.
Addressing an election rally in Abhanpur near Raipur, Mr Kharge said that Mr Modi targeted the Gandhi-Nehru family by frequently asking what Congress had done in the last 70 years.
He said that Congress had gained freedom for the country and strengthened democracy and protected the constitution of India. But, BJP had no role to play in the freedom movement of India.
Mr Kharge said that Mr Modi and Amit Shah would not have become PM and home minister respectively today had Congress not preserved and strengthened democracy and constitution of India.
He said that Mr Modi did not speak anything in the parliament, but targeted Congress and Gandhi-Nehru family only in the rallies.
He said that BJP and Mr Modi had no concern for the country, but were busy in planning where to send the ED, CBI, IT people to conduct raids.
Mr Kharge questioned why Mr Modi was not visiting restive Manipur to bring the situation there under control.
He questioned why the ED was conducting raids in poll-bound Chhattisgarh and alleged that the raids were politically motivated to intimidate the ruling Congress leaders in the state.
