Vijayawada: Mangalagiri rebel MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy has affirmed that he is joining the Congress party along with YS Sharmila.
Reddy would be the first MLA from Andhra Pradesh to join the Congress party. “I am not against having Amaravati as the capital, but I am against forced land acquisition,” he said.
The MLA came to Gannavaram airport to receive YSR Telangana Party president YS Sharmila and her family members.
"Sharmila came to give the wedding invitation to Jagan Mohan Reddy. After she joins the Congress party, I will also join in. I will work to strengthen the Congress no matter what responsibilities the party gives me. I had left the Congress party along with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The Congress has been strong for decades. There is a strong leadership in the Congress party. The leadership takes care of the people coming into the Congress," he said.
