Vinod Kumar to Contest on BRS Ticket From Karimnagar in LS Polls
Hyderabad: The BRS has decided to field former MP B. Vinod Kumar from Karimnagar in the Lok Sabha elections, and party leaders from the constituency on Thursday pledged that they would work hard for his victory.
Vinod Kumar is the second candidate to be formally named by the BRS for the general elections after Chevella MP G. Ranjith Reddy.
Briefing reporters on a meeting with BRS leaders from Karimnagar, former minister Gangula Kamalakar said party working president K.T. Rama Rao, who chaired the meeting, had assured that all the suggestions given by constituency leaders would be taken into consideration.
“In the Assembly elections, the BRS had an overall edge in the constituency by 5,600 votes. The credit for Karimnagar city getting selected for the Smart City project goes to Vinod Kumar. Karimnagar lost a lot by electing BJP’s Bandi Sanjay Kumar in 2019. This time, we will ensure Vinod Kumar’s win,” he said.
