KCR must apologise for cheating people: Revanth
HYDERABAD: Accusing the ruling BRS and BJP of playing politics on the issue of governor to divery people's attention from more crucial issues, TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy, who participated in a padayatra at Manakondur in Karimnagar, alleged that the state and central governments had looted people on the pretext of VAT by collecting charges on domestic gas, petrol, and diesel.
On some TPCC leaders starting padayatras, he said "The AICC directed all MPs to take out a padayatra in their respective constituencies to highlight the government's failures. It is because of this call that Maheswar Reddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy and others took part in padayatras in their respective constituencies."
He said that if the Congress comes to power in Telangana in 2024, they would resume the Indiramma housing scheme by providing five lakh to each family to construct houses; provide funds for Aarogyasri and reduce VAT on domestic gas cylinders, petrol and diesel.
Meanwhile, the Congress party released a charge sheet against the BRS legislator Rasamayi Balakrishna highlighting his failures in the constituency.
"Chandrasekhar Rao failed to fulfill his electoral promises. He must tender an unconditional apology to the people for letting them down," he said.
