PCC launches postcard campaign to build pressure on Centre
HYDERABAD: AICC secretary Nadeem Javed, on behalf of the party’s frontal organisations, on Monday launched a month-long postcard campaign to take on the Centre over the Adani-Hindenburg row.
The postcard, addressed to Prime Minister’s Office, seeks answers to three questions. “How many crores of funds has Adani given to the BJP till now? How many contracts did Adani win, following your official foreign visits? Please tell us the formula for your best friend to go from being ranked 609 in the world, to being the 2nd wealthiest person in 8 years?” the postcard reads.
Hundreds of postcards were sent from the Gandhi Bhavan on the day.
“This is a month-long programme. On the first day, we were able to send around 400 postcards from Gandhi Bhavan alone. On Tuesday, this campaign will be launched at the district level and all frontal organisations will take part. We are questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi about his relationship with Adani as he failed to initiate a joint Parliamentary committee probe. Since this issue is of serious public concern, we urge the general public to take part in this campaign in large numbers,” said PCC vice president Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy.
