Pawan Kalyan gets 1.3 million followers within hours of joining Instagram

Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief and actor Pawan Kalyan has made a debut on the popular social media platform Instagram and got 1.3 million followers in a few hours. His fans eagerly waited for his first post on Tuesday.

His bio reads as, ‘Rise, face and choose..Jai Hind!’.

Though he had been busy in his political campaign in the twin districts of Godavari from June 14 to June 30 by taking out roadshows on his vehicle Varahi and addressing public meetings, he took a short break a day ago to act in films.

At present, he is involved in the dubbing work for his upcoming film ‘Bro’ in which he is starring along with nephew Sai Dharam Tej. He has three more films like Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Ustaad Bhagat Singh and OG in the production line.

Pawan Kalyan has 5.3 million followers on his Twitter account and 962k followers on his Facebook account.

The actor joined Instagram marking the birth anniversary of revolutionary Telugu Freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju, the character which was played by his nephew Ram Charan in the film RRR.

Pawan Kalyan was yet to post anything on the newly created platform but he was being received by his fans enthusiastically and they made the hashtag #PawanKalyanOnInistagram, which is trending on Twitter.

His brother Nagababu welcomed Pawan Kalyan to Instagram and said, “On the day of the birth anniversary of Alluri Sitarama Raju, who said that the freedom of motherland needs hands and not words, welcome to Instagram my Alluri, whom I know and whom I have seen.”

Nagababu said, “Storm Alert! The power is about to arrive on Instagram, granting us additional time to connect.”

With Pawan Kalyan aiming to be chief minister of Andhra Pradesh by contesting polls and also taking up the poll campaign much ahead of others, it has to be seen how his social media exposure with a huge fan following would help him be a successful politician.
