Hyderabad: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra is likely to attend a public meeting being planned at Kollapur on July 20, where former minister Jupally Krishna Rao will join the party.
Krishna Rao, who gave his acceptance to joining the Congress in Delhi on June 26, had working to finalise a suitable date for the meeting. Asked about the event, Krishna Rao told this correspondent, “The tentative date is July 20, and will be finalized on Wednesday.”
The meeting will come on the heels of the Telangana Jana Garjana which featured Rahul Gandhi at the public meeting to mark the conclusion of CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s padayatra and former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy joining the party.
In the recent past, Priyanka Gandhi has attended a public meeting at Saroornagar where she unveiled the party’s Youth Declaration.
