MLA Bhumana scoffs at Naidu s claim on winning Pulivendula

TIRUPATI: Tirupati YSRC MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy has scoffed at Nara Chandrababu Naidu for the latter’s claim that the TD would win Pulivendula in the coming assembly polls.

Naidu's strength had reduced even in his home constituency Kuppam, where the YSRC defeated it in the series of panchayat, municipal, and ZPTC elections, he noted.

Speaking to the media here on Thursday, the MLA accused Chandrababu Naidu of betraying the Rayalaseema region during his 14-years as chief minister.

Bhumana alleged that Naidu as CM treated Rayalaseema unfairly and failed to complete crucial projects. In Naidu's career spanning over 40 years, he “engaged in politics characterized by backstabbing, deceit, fraud, corruption and anarchy,” he said.

By contrast, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy created a “democratic environment in which everyone was free to express their views, including those in Pulivendula.” The Pulivendula people and YSRC leaders displayed respect for democracy by not retaliating to Naidu's remarks, he said.

The MLA said the Pulivendula people gave a special place in their hearts to YS Rajasekhara Reddy and Jagan Reddy, making the constituency their true home. Naidu's claims of doing good for Rayalaseema were strange and lacked substance, he added.
