Purandeswari questions Jagan on misuse of funds
Vijayawada: Referring to a report of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) finding fault with AP government on spending Rs 1.10 lakh crore unofficially, AP BJP chief D. Purandeswari asked Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to respond to it.
In a tweet on Thursday, the BJP senior leader said that the CAG in its report mentioned that the state government had incurred unofficial expenditure worth Rs 1.10 lakh crore in 2020-21 and asked whether it was the money collected from liquor business, by avoiding payment of bills for works to the contractors and also by diverting funds of GPS, NPS and PF of employees and gram panchayats, which was spent by the state government unofficially.
She said that she had been raising the same issue of state government incurring unofficial expenditure and diverting funds from various resources to meet such expenditure and added that the CAG also pointed out the same.
