Chandrababu Naidu demands release of arrested leader
Vijayawada: Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that the YSRC government filed illegal cases and arrested leader and social activist Danda Nagendram from Dharani Kota of Amaravathi because he filed cases in the NGT against illegal sand mining and looting by government officials in the state. He condemned the arrest of Danda Nagendram and termed it a revengeful act.
He said it was because of the Nagendram case that the NGT took action against sand mining and stopped it. He said that the government had started harassing Nagendram with illegal cases. YSR Congress leaders robbing '40,000 crore through illegal sand mining, Naidu alleged and demanded the immediate unconditional release of Nagendram.
TD AP president Kinjarapu Atchannaidu and other leaders also condemned the arrest of Nagendram and demanded his unconditional release.
