Nizamabad Crowd Laps Up Modi\'s High-Voltage Speech

Nizamabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived to a rousing welcome at Nizamabad. His announcement a day earlier on National Turmeric Board had clearly uplifted the spirits of the locals.

People of Nizamabad seemed content and lapped up PM Modi's speech.

* Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Nizamabad an hour late, by a helicopter from Bidar. A large crowd patiently and enthusiastically waited for him

* Modi was impressed at the sight of a tiny girl in Bharat Mata attire and blessed her from the stage

* BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy and Arvind Dharmapuri MP felicitated Modi with a shawl and an idol of Goddess Saraswati

* Hailing the sanction of the National Turmeric Board, farmers presented the Prime Minister with turmeric seeds and saplings

* Bandi Sanjay informed the PM about turmeric farmers’ leader Muthyala Manohar Reddy, who walked barefoot for 12 years, seeking the establishment of the turmeric board.

* PM was covered in flowers showered by the large audience. He removed his spectacles to clear the petals. Modi waved with both his hands and then greeted the crowd with folded hands

* Youths shouted ‘Modi Modi’ for a long time. They even climbed the barricades to have a better view of the PM.

* Cultural programmes enthralled the audience at the Indur Jana Garjana public meeting

* Audience enthusiastically reacted when Modi took the names of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his family members

* In view of the PM’s security arrangements, entry into Nizamabad collectorate was restricted on Tuesday due to the location of the helipad inside the collectorate

* Nizamabad, the third largest city in Telangana, close to Maharashtra border, was transformed into a sea of saffron ahead of PM Modi’s arrival
