Pawan Kalyan Calls Upon JS-TD Supporters to Unitedly Dislodge YSRC in 2024 Polls

Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has called upon the supporters of Jana Sena and Telugu Desam to set aside their differences and unitedly dislodge the YSRC government in the 2024 polls.

Addressing the people during his Varahi Vijaya Yatra at Pedana in Krishna district on Wednesday, Pawan Kalyan said if AP should develop and its youths get more jobs, the YSRC government should be shunted out.

He said, “I want the fighting spirit of Jana Sena and the four decades’ experience of Telugu Desam to blend. If any other party (BJP) wants to join us, we shall together establish a strong government with blessings from the Centre. We shall together provide political stability in AP for the next 10 years.”

“As corruption is a part of life and the people accepted Jagan Mohan Reddy as Chief Minister despite his alleged involvement in corruption of nearly a lakh crore, there is a need for debate on acceptable level corruption. I don’t have money to offer in the range of '500 or '1,000 per vote at the time of the elections. I don’t need corrupt money as I get enough from my film career,” he said.

Pawan Kalyan said, “Our former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was implicated in false cases and lodged in jail. When we compare with the level of corruption between Naidu and Jagan Mohan Reddy, Jagan has no right to trouble Naidu.”

“I want the youth to become strong by 2047 so that they can lead the state. We can work for only 15 to 20 years from now. There is a need to train the youth to develop leadership skills and we need to develop every town in the state as growth centres.”

The JS chief claimed that despite having no political power, he used to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discuss issues of general importance. "I also meet home minister Amit Shah and other central leaders, raise issues of AP and seek their support. But, why is Jagan Mohan Reddy not doing so,” Pawan Kalyan asked.

Pawan Kalyan said he would develop four towns -- Pedana, Kaikaluru, Avanigadda and Machilipatnam -- based on availability of natural resources there and train the local youth in various skills to help them find employment locally.

He called upon the youth to rise beyond casteism and communalism, develop the spirit of humanism and patriotism, and work for the development of the state. Referring to the issue of political corruption, he quoted political strategist Prashant Kishor as saying, “When voters are bribed with '500 or '1,000 for their votes, it could be anybody’s guess what kind of public representatives go and sit in the legislature.”

Pawan Kalyan said distribution of money for welfare schemes was not development and listed out how the YSRC government was diverting funds for such schemes but failed to fulfil several of its promises, be it employment for the youth, housing to the poor etc.

He listed out how the Pedana MLA and housing minister Jogi Ramesh was “involved in corruption by charging specific amounts for each service. "He would be held accountable for all his illegal acts once the JS-TD alliance comes to power.”

Pawan Kalyan cautioned all the corrupt leaders to be ready to go to jail in Andaman and Nicobar islands and be ready to be lodged in the jails here too.
