Mamata and BJP staging drama, says CPM
Kanyakumari: The Polit Bureau member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), CPI(M)), G Ramakrishnan blamed both the West Bengal Chief Minister and the BJP for orchestrating a political drama to protect the persons involved in the Saradha chit fund scam.
Echoing the view of the party general secretary, Sitaram Yechury that the mastermind of the scam involving several members of the Mamata Banerjeerun Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal, joined the BJP, Ramakrishnan accused that Mamata Banerjee's protest, against the CBI in Kolkata, with staging a drama orchestrated by BJP and her party.
G Ramakrishnan too added, "She resorted to this drama so as to divert the people’s attention from the massive rally of the Left front at the Brigade’s ground that demonstrated people's support to the left front on Sunday.
"They both (the BJP and Mamata Banerjee) got exposed in front of the people, added the former Tamil Nadu state secretary of the CPM, who also criticised the interim budget of the Narendra Modi led government as nothing more than the election manifesto of the BJP.
"The interim budget has nothing but bundles of lies to divert the people's attention from the failures of the Modi led NDA government at the centre," blamed G Ramakrishnan, who visited Nagercoil in Kanyakumari district on Monday to attend a party function.
