YSRC urges Naidu to come clear on investments into state during TD rule
VIJAYAWADA: AP planning board vice-chairman and MLA, Malladi Vishnu said that good governance and reforms implemented by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy have won the trust of investors and industrialists, who announced a mindboggling ₹13 lakh crores investment across sectors.
He dared former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh to reveal how much investments they had procured during the five-year rule of Telugu Desam. He claimed that Jagan Mohan Reddy succeeded in all fronts of welfare and development and GIS epitomized it.
Vishnu was speaking at a Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam programme organised by the 64 Division 285 ward secretariat here on Saturday. He said that the Andhra Pradesh government has emerged as a role model for other states. He said that many opportunities and natural resources are available in Andhra Pradesh and there was no dearth of skilled human resources. He said that with the reforms being implemented and the subsidies being provided, industries are coming to the state like never before. He welcomed the decision of industry leaders to set up units directly, without having to negotiate contracts and shouting campaigns like in the days of TD and Naidu.
He alleged that as Naidu, Lokesh and other opposition leaders were unable to digest the flow of investments, they were criticising the YSRC government. He wanted Naidu to explain about the investments he had managed to get from the Davos summit and investment meetings.
Vishnu stated that YSRC was head and shoulders over other artists when it came to taking care of the welfare of women. He said that seven schemes have been introduced for the empowerment of women.
