BJP slams KCR on his offer of funding opposition

HYDERABAD: The BJP on Tuesday slammed BRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for his reported comments about funding the Opposition to take on the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha elections next year, demanding an explanation of how he had “amassed such huge sums of money.”

The BJP charge was spearheaded by state BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, who stated that Rao owed an explanation as to how and in what manner tens of thousands of crores of rupees were accumulated.

Making the most of reports that Rao told leaders of political parties in other states that if he is elected as the Opposition leader, he will fund their campaign, Kishan Reddy asked: “Was this money hoarded only to take on Modi and the BJP government? Where did all this come from? How much of the loans obtained by Telangana state have been diverted for this purpose? The BRS earned thousands of crores of rupees from Hyderabad's real estate businesses, according to some accounts, by demanding a 50 per cent stake in all real estate transactions."

Speaking to reporters, Kishan Reddy asked if the amassing of wealth by the BRS was what 1,200 youth sacrificed their lives for the formation of Telangana state. “They spent hundreds of crores in bypolls in Huzurabad, Dubbak and Munugode. One can imagine how much money BRS has. This is a serious issue, people in Telangana must realise that the state was not achieved to defeat Modi but to serve its people,” he said.

Sanjay said, "Looks like KCR has earned enough money to buy out all the leaders in the world. The journalist who disclosed KCR's plans is not a BJP person. KCR has hit a point of desperation in which he wishes to buy all political parties in the country in order to defeat Modi. The Chief Minister no longer has any prospects."

Calling the BRS “a Beer, Rum, and Scotch” party, Sanjay stated, “KCR’s family is asking questions on the educational qualifications of others. He must first reveal where he received his MSc in political science degree from.

The BRS is full of looters and thieves. A man who had just one house a few years ago now sits on thousands of crores of rupees. How did he manage this? He must answer this question.”
