PM's road show in Bengaluru would affect NEET candidates: H.D. Kumaraswamy
Bengaluru: The scheduled 8-km road show of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bengaluru city on Sunday drew flak from Janata Dal Secular (JDS) leader and former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy. He asked the PM to put off his road show since it would affect the candidates appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
The road show of PM has resulted in traffic diversion and would affect the candidates of NEET to reach their destination to appear for the exams.
PM Modi will arrive in Bengaluru on Friday evening and take part in a 26-km road show in the city and the road show on Saturday would start from RBI grounds in Bengaluru south and culminate at Sankey Tank in Malleshwaram. The road show would commence at 10 am on Saturday.
On Sunday, Modi’s road show would start at 10 am from Thippasandra Kempegowda statue and travel to Trinity Circle covering a distance of 8-km.
Kumaraswamy told reporters that BJP sole agenda is to retain power in the State and termed Modi’s road show would pose difficulties for the candidates and stated that road show of Modi has become a subject of debate which coincides with NEET exam.
The JDS leader stated the road show of Modi on May 7 had drawn criticism from candidates and parents and wanted the PM not to cause problems for the candidates appearing for NEET exam in Bengaluru city.
