YSRC terms Naidu's manifesto as fraudfesto' to deceive AP public
VIJAYAWADA: In a chorus, YSRC ministers, legislators and leaders alleged on Sunday that TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu’s poll-related manifesto released at the recent Mahanadu meet was nothing more than a “fraudfesto”.
They claimed that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy fulfilled 98 per cent of his poll promises from the YSRC’s 2019 election manifesto and hence Jagan Mohan Reddy is synonymous with the term manifesto.
The district YSRC organised a 'Manifesto Ante Jagan' programme in Guntur on Sunday. Water resources minister Ambati Rambabu, YSRC district president Dokka Manikya Varaprasad MLC, financial analyst Papa Rao, MLCs Ummareddy Venkateswarlu, Yesu Ratnam and Marri Rajasekhar, MLAs Kilaru Rosaiah and Md Mustafa and others leaders targeted Naidu and the TD at the meeting.
Rambabu said Naidu did not implement the promises in his 2014 manifesto during his five-year rule. “Now, Naidu once again came up with a ‘fraudfesto’ to cheat and deceive the public.”
He said all YSRC leaders and cadres should explain to the public about the difference between the manifestos of Naidu and Jagan Mohan Reddy and their records in the implementations.
Referring to Naidu's promise of making the poor rich, the minister asked Naidu how many poor people had been made rich in the past by the TD leader.
Rambabu said, “Jagan Mohan Reddy is a trendsetter in politics. His rule is heaven for the people and hell for Naidu and his supporting yellow media. Jagan Mohan Reddy gave sanctity to the two-page YSRC manifesto. As mentioned in it, we are taking the fruits of our welfare schemes to the doorsteps of the people. We ask you to vote for us only if it is good for you. Jagan Mohan Reddy is the only leader who boldly says, “If my schemes benefit the poor, vote for us; otherwise, don't.”
Varaprasad said Jagan Mohan Reddy is a great Chief Minister who implemented every promise he made in the 2019 YSRC manifesto. He honoured it as his Bible, Quran and Bhagavad Gita and that's why “manifesto means Jagan”. He criticised Naidu for “deceiving people with his deceitful words”.
Venkateswarlu said the people have torn Naidu's manifesto to pieces. He said, "Political parties inform the people of the schemes they are going to do after they win. Some parties like TD tear away their manifesto released before the election and forget about the promises once they win the polls.”
Papa Rao said Naidu who rejected Jagan Mohan Reddy's 2019 poll manifesto was now copying the same manifesto for himself. “It was advertised that AP will become a ‘Sri Lanka’ under Jagan Mohan Reddy’s rule. But, Jagan Mohan Reddy successfully implemented the welfare and development schemes for the past four years.”
“Naidu expressed concern about our government building houses for the poor in Amaravati. Shouldn't the poor stay in Amaravati? Those with anti-poor ideologies should be kicked out,” he added.
Rajasekhar said the manifesto announced by Naidu was not getting any response from the people. He expressed confidence that Jagan Mohan Reddy will become the Chief Minister of AP again.
