CM Chandrababu Naidu: Complex will be ready by August

He observed that the Telugu-speaking states should compete in development, but not indulge in quarrels.

Amaravati: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that construction work of the temporary secretariat would be completed by August-end. He visited the temporary secretariat and directed the officials to complete all the work as soon as possible.

He observed that though the rains had affected progress of the work, the secretariat employees would be able to occupy their respective offices as per schedule.

Mr Naidu stated that the full-fledged functioning of the secretariat would commence from the date of completion of all the work. He explained that they had been providing high-end facilities at the secretariat for the employees, like that of software and other IT companies in the world.

He said that the secretariat at Velagapudi was a temporary one, but the buildings which had been under construction at the village would be permanent. He said that they had asked the central government to fulfil the promises it had made in the AP Reorganisation Act and other platforms, such as Parliament.

Mr Naidu took a swipe at the Telangana government bringing up those problems that affected their interests alone at the cost of the Andhra Pradesh’s.

He observed that the Telugu-speaking states should compete in development, but not indulge in quarrels.

He observed that both states should interact with each other in a spirit of exchange rather than adversarially on every small issue. He stated that his government would never act against anybody's interests.

He said that whenever he tried to solve problems by utilising small opportunities, some politicians created hurdles and made biased comments. They misused the media to propagate false news in the public domain, he said.
