Purandeswari asks AP to complete construction of houses sanctioned by Centre

VIJAYAWADA: BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari demanded that the YSRC government complete construction of houses allotted by the Centre for the poor and provide them to the eligible beneficiaries.

In a tweet on Friday, the BJP senior leader responded to the AP High Court’s
interim order directing the state government to stay the construction of houses
for the poor in R-5 Zone Amaravati for varied reasons, by saying that as the
issue was under the purview of the court, the Centre could not release any funds
for construction of houses in R-5 Zone.

Referring to the AP HC’s order on R-5 Zone, she said that it was proved that the decisions of the Centre would be on the side of justice and righteousness.

She suggested to the state government to build residential houses for the eligible
poor in their own areas in the state and maintained that the Centre had allotted
the largest number of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Andhra
Pradesh.
