Spread party message, Cong. will win: Thakre
HYDERABAD: Predicting that the Congress would come to power in Telangana, AICC state in-charge Manikrao Thakre on Friday called upon party leaders and cadres to work hard, mingle with the people and participate in party activities. The focus was on party workers communicating with the people.
He was speaking at a party campaign committee meeting at Gandhi Bhavan, where he explained the Congress ideology. After Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, there was a mammoth response and the was elected in the Assembly elections in Karnataka, he said.
"Every leader and cadre must work to take to the people’s notice, the party's manifesto and highlight the failures of the BRS,” Thakre said. “The political scenario has changed after Rahul Gandhi's public meeting in Khammam. If we work as per the plan and guidelines of the party, the Congress will come to power."
"Rahul Gandhi announced the Farmers Declaration while Priyanka Gandhi released the Youth Declaration. We must take the contents of both declarations to the people's notice, especially the farmers, the youth and the students," Thakre explained.
The AICC in-charge said that the BJP and the BRS were two sides of the same coin and they shared an internal political nexus. BRS leaders were indulging in irregularities which the Congress leaders and activists must unearth, and educate the people on the ruling party leaders’ illegal activities.
