VISAKHAPATNAM: People of Thotapalem village in Etcherla mandal raised a banner of revolt against their MLA Gorle Kiran Kumar belonging to the ruling YSRC party.
The incident happened when the MLA had been touring the village as part of his Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam programme.
On coming to know about it, scores of people came out of their houses in Thotapalem. They swarmed around the MLA demanding to know why he has neglected their village.
Villagers pointed out to him that Thotapalem has been denied roads, drains and other infrastructural works. Villagers underlined that they have also been deprived of work under MGNREGA.
