Hyderabad: AIMIM Assembly floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on Thursday slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for questioning the antecedents of the MIM. Before making such statements, Rahul Gandhi should realise that his party’s Telangana chief had his origins in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Owaisi Jr claimed.
Addressing a meeting at an educational institution, Akbaruddin Oawisi said “Rahul Gandhi says MIM is BJP’s B Team, and we go and contest and split votes. He should also speak about how a RSS man is heading the Congress party in Telangana,” referring to TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy, who he said was in the RSS. “Rahul Gandhi, can you not see the man standing next to you wearing a ‘chaddi’,” he asked.
The BJP, Akbaruddin said, “Realised it is becoming weak and entered into a deal with Congress to make a RSS man the party president in Telangana so the RSS, and even the VHP will work for the Congress.”
