Tirupati: Former YSRC minister and Nellore city MLA P. Anil Kumar Yadav has accused ex-Telugu Desam minister Dr. Ponguru Narayana of manipulating the voters’ list in the Nellore Urban segment using fraudulent means.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday, he alleged that Narayana has created bogus votes using his college staff to undermine the strength of YSRCP sympathisers in the area.
"The deceitful tactics of the former minister include registering votes in names of deceased individuals and people who have changed their addresses," Anil Kumar stated.
He claimed that he possesses concrete evidence in this regard. He said he has formally lodged a complaint with Nawabpet police in the matter.
The former minister questioned Narayana's audacity in aspersions against him (Anil Kumar) while himself engaging in fraudulent practices.
He also accused Dr. Narayana of being involved in questionable land dealings in Amaravati, where the former minister purchased assigned lands at unfairly low prices. He asserted that he has substantial evidence to substantiate his claims.
Labelling Dr. Narayana as a white-collar criminal, Anil Yadav advised TD leaders not to trust the former minister, as Narayana would even cheat them.
