SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav Criticises Congress as a \"Chalu\" Party in Madhya Pradesh
Tikamgarh: In the midst of growing tensions between the partners of the INDIA bloc over seat allocation in Madhya Pradesh, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav didn't hold back in his criticism of the Congress, branding them a "chalu" (deceitful) party.
Speaking at a public gathering in the poll-bound state, Yadav voiced his concerns about the Congress, suggesting that if they could "cheat" him, they could deceive the general populace as well.
Yadav went on to address the issue of essential commodities, stating, "Nobody is receiving their due share of ration... So, why should you consider voting for the BJP or even the Congress for that matter? Congress is notorious for its deceitful tactics. Are you going to remain vigilant? If the Congress can deceive us, it can deceive anyone," he emphasized while speaking in Tikamgarh.
He didn't stop there; Akhilesh Yadav also took a swipe at the Congress for their demand for a nationwide caste census. He pointed out, "Their voter base has shifted to the BJP, and now they are clamoring for a caste-based census to secure their vote bank. We stand by you because we are committed to achieving social justice."
The recent decision by the Congress to deny seats to Yadav's party in Madhya Pradesh, citing the INDIA bloc's focus on national politics rather than regional elections, left Yadav feeling betrayed. This ongoing tussle between the Congress and the Samajwadi Party in Madhya Pradesh has led to a barrage of verbal exchanges and snide remarks from Yadav towards his political allies.
