15 First-timers to Enter Assembly from Karimnagar, Warangal
Karimnagar: A total of 15 MLAs -- eight from the erstwhile Karimnagar district and seven from the erstwhile Warangal district -- are going to enter the House of Legislative Assembly for the first time.
Of the eight first-timers from the erstwhile Karimnagar district, six are from the Congress including Ponnam Prabhakar from Husnabad, Medipally Satyam from Choppadandi, Dr Kavvampally Satyanarayana from Manakondur, Aadi Srinivas from Vemulawada, Adluri Laxman from Dharmapuri and Makkan Singh Raj Thakur from Ramagundam.
Two MLAs belong to the BRS -- Padi Koushik Reddy from Huzurabad and Dr Kalvakuntla Sanjay Kumar from the Korutla segment.
Dr Kalvakuntla Sanjay is the first time contestant and won the election while the seven others including Prabhakar, Koushik Reddy, Satyanarayana, Satyam, Srinivas, Makkan Singh and Laxman Kumar are two-time or three-time contestants.
Similarly, of the seven first-time MLAs from the erstwhile Warangal district, six are from Congress including Naini Rajendar Reddy from Warangal West, Gandra Satyanarayana from Bhupalpally, K.R. Nagaraju from Wardhannapet, Mamidala Yesheshwini from Palakurthy, Dr Ram Chander Naik from Dornakal and Dr Murali Naik from Mahabubabad and one MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy of the BRS from Jangaon constituency.
Four of them -- Rajendar Reddy, Nagaraju, Yasheshwini and Rajeshwar Reddy -- contested for the first time and tasted victory. While three other members -- Satyanarayana, Dr Murali Naik and Dr Ram Chander Naik -- contested more than two or three times in the previous elections.
