Ballari: Congress general secretary in-charge of Karnataka K.C. Venugopal has called on party workers to strive hard to help the party retain power in the state in the Assembly elections.
Mr Venugopal, who was here to address party workers ahead of AICC president Rahul Gandhi's visit to the district on January 21, said that party workers must intensify the ‘Mane Manege Congress’ campaign and inform people about pro-people schemes implemented during Congress rule.
"Grassroot level workers are the real strength of our party. Every worker must strive hard to fight the opposition parties’ propaganda and ensure victory for the party in the elections," Mr Venugopal said.
He, however declined to answer questions by mediapersons regarding the law and order situation in the state, particularly in the coastal region.
