Rayadurg MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy quits YSRC
ANANTAPUR: Rayadurg MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy announced his resignation as MLA as well as the YSRC.
His resignation comes after the YSRC high command decided to replace Ramachandra Reddy with APIIC chairman Mettu Govinda Reddy as candidate from the Rayadurg Assembly constituency.
Announcing his resignation, the Rayadurg MLA protested that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has not even given an appointment, so that he could explain his position to the CM. Incidentally, Ramachandra Reddy had been camping in Vijayawada for the past few days to meet Jagan Mohan Reddy.
However, government adviser Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy informed the Rayadurg MLA on Friday afternoon that he has been denied the assembly ticket.
Ramachandra Reddy said: “I have been with Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy since Day One of launching YSRC. Despite this, based on some baseless surveys, they have informed me that I have been denied the ticket.”
He declared that he would contest as an independent candidate from Rayadurg assembly segment, while his wife will contest from Kalyandurg constituency to prove their hold over the people.
Ramachandra Reddy said he will soon announce his future action plan to teach a lesson to YSRC.
Incidentally, he is a close aide of mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy of Bellary and is part of OMC Mining Company.
YSRC high command has denied Ramachandra Reddy the ticket from Rayadurg citing adverse survey reports. Further, TD politburo member Kalava Sreenivasulu, TD in-charge, has continuously targeted the MLA with 100 selfie video challenges over incomplete works and poor development in the constituency.
In addition, he is involved in a dispute with his brother-in-law and other family members, who are supporting Mettu Govinda Reddy’s candidature from Rayadurg.
Several leaders and cadres from Rayadurg announced their resignations from the party after the YSRC high command denied ticket to Ramachandra Reddy.
