Ex-minister Gali Janardhan Reddy hopeful of his party winning 30 seats in Karnataka
Vijayapura: Former Minister G Janardhan Reddy, who founded the Kalyana Rajya Pragati Paksha (KRPP) two months ago, is hopeful of winning over 30 seats in the upcoming assembly elections in Karnataka.
After being out of active politics for over a decade, Reddy has been organizing his party with a special focus on the Kalyana Karnataka region, with Koppal district as his base.
Speaking to reporters at Vijayapura, Reddy said that as the election is fast approaching he expects to have around 60 days to campaign before the elections.
"So we will field candidates in only those constituencies where our organization is strong," he said.
Reddy denied allegations that his party is the 'B team' of Congress and stated that he has not formed the party to defeat anybody.
"People will vote for those whom they have faith in. I am not bothered as to who my opponent is. We will work to strengthen the party. The result is left to God and voters," he said.
In response to questions about his political affiliations, Reddy declared that he will not return to the BJP.
"I will not step back. There is no question of returning," he stated.
