BJP action plan to unveil YSRC's failures on May 12

Vijayawada: AP BJP will unveil an action plan to expose corruption in the ruling YSR Congress government, as part of its attempt to attain power in Andhra Pradesh during the 2024 general elections.

Speaking to media in Rajamahendravaram on Saturday, AP BJP chief Somu Veerraju said their party workers will submit representations on several issues at the Spandana programmes in various collectorates of the state every Monday. They would prepare a charge sheet at the district level and submit it to the superintendent of police concerned for initiating necessary action. They would also lodge complaints at police stations.

In this context, Veerraju pointed out that an MLA in Guntur district purchased a land for ₹6 lakh and sold it to state government for ₹18 lakh. “We are coming up with a full report on this legislator’s illegal activities,” he stated.

The party chief maintained that while centre is extending all help to AP for the benefit of people, the state government has failed in even supplying adequate number of gunny bags to farmers for safely storing their paddy.

In a related development, BJP state general secretary Bitra Sivannarayana alleged that ministers and ruling party legislators are collecting commissions for various works. He said the BJP is preparing a list of these acts and state government’s failures at village, mandal, Assembly segment, district and state level for presenting the same before the people.

These lists containing irregularities of YSR Congress government will be ready by May 11. They will be released as charge sheets at the assembly segment-level on May 12, Sivannarayana stated.
