BRS Leaders Accused of Job Fraud, Land Grab

KARIMNAGAR: BRS leaders must give back money to unemployed youth, which was collected from them with the promise of allotting jobs at the Ramagundam Fertiliser Company Limited (RFCL), said Venkatesh, secretary of the Bhupalpally-Mahabubabad-Warangal-Peddapalli (BHWP) division committee of a banned Maoist group.

In a letter released in Peddapalli district on Wednesday, Venkatesh alleged that BRS leaders Bandari Srinivas Goud, Bhushanveni Srinivas and Sriramula Gopal of Goureddypet village collected between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 6 lakh from nearly 30 unemployed youth, promising them jobs, and later betrayed them.

When the youth asked for their money to be returned, the BRS leaders threatened and lodged false cases against the victims. The victims are unable to pay back their debts.

Apart from cheating the youth, the BRS leaders are also involved in land grabs and are creating disputes among people and then collecting money, in the name of settlements, Venkatesh alleged.

“When some Dalit youth opposed the BRS leaders, they were beaten up, jailed and tortured for four days. The BRS leaders must stop land grab and other illegal activities and return the money to the unemployed youth,” Venkatesh said.
It may be noted that in August 2022, a 32-year-old ended his life after falling victim to the RFCL job scam, alleging that he was deceived by the followers of Ramagundam MLA K. Chander Patel.

Venkatesh highlighted these issues in his letter and demanded the BRS leaders return the money.
