Vijayawada: The AP High Court has instructed the police to issue a notice under Section 41-A of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) to Telugu Desam leader Buddha Venkateswara Rao and initiate an investigation.
This directive stems from a complaint lodged by YSRC MLA Perni Venkataramaiah with the police. The complaint pertains to objectionable remarks made by the TD leader against YSRC MLA Kodali Venkateswara Rao and also against TD rebel MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi during a recent public meeting.
During the hearing held on Thursday, the court instructed the police to serve a notice to the TD leader and commence an inquiry into the matter.
