Visakhapatnam: Calling it undemocratic, Rajya Member and senior BJP leader G.V.L. Narasimha Rao condemned the suspension of corporator and BJP floor leader in GVMC Council Gangala Kavita Yadav in the general council meeting held on Friday.
Rao, in a statement on Saturday, also condemned the ugly behaviour of ruling YSRC corporators in the council meeting. Kavita Yadav fought like ‘Chirutha’ demanding development for people in her ward and raising the public’s voice in the council, he said.
He said as a person striving for the development of Visakhapatnam, he demanded an apology from YSRC leaders for their rude and undemocratic behaviour towards Gankala Kavita Yadav and the commencement of development activities in her ward without any further delay.
With this kind of agitation, the BJP will soon become the first choice of the people of Visakhapatnam. As the political leaders of YSRC and TD are busy with grabbing land and protecting the corruption and malpractices of each other, the BJP will take up public issues and problems, work towards their resolution, and agitate against the ruling YSRC’s local and state governments, the Rajya Sabha member said.
