KCR uses leaders and people for his own benefit: Konda Sureka
Warangal: Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao uses leaders and the people of Telangana for his own benefits and then ditches them, alleged former minister Konda Sureka on Monday.
This was stated at the Rythu Dharna held under the leadership of DCC president Naini Rajendar Reddy at Ekashila Park in Hanamkonda.
Sureka alleged that during the separate Telangana movement, KCR was very much worried about the neglect of the people of Telangana. “He regularly raised the various issues they faced in the united Andhra Pradesh. But, after becoming chief minister, he never bothered about the plights of the unemployed youths, farmers and about the share of water that Telangana should get.”
“Whenever there are elections, KCR will remember the dalits. After the elections, he will never speak anything about them. The Dalit Bandhu scheme is not reaching the deserving beneficiaries but only to the TRS party cadre and followers of the TRS party MLAs and ministers.”
“It was only during the reign of the Congress government that houses were distributed to the poor and shelterless people. After the formation of TS and rule by the TRS government, not even a single house was distributed to the poor till date,” the former minister said.
“KCR promised the farmers before the elections in 2014 that he will waive farm loans in one go. But by waiving farm loans in six installments, the farmers faced problems in paying the interest to the loans they had taken. Before the 2018 assembly elections, KCR again promised them of waiving the farm loans but did not do this till date.”
“The Dharani portal created more problems for farmers instead it benefitting them. Many farmers are going round the revenue offices and are facing a lot of hardships,” the ex-minister added.
Congress leaders, raising slogans against the TRS government, took out a rally from Ekashila park to the Collectorate and submitted a representation to collector Rajiv Hanumanthu. Former MP Sircilla Rajaiah, Congress leaders Ch Venkateswarlu, D Sambaiah, N Srinivas, EV Srinivas Rao, N Ramesh, M Prakash, B Ashok Reddy, T Ravinder Rao, corporator Sriman and B Vikram were among those present.
