Chugh Opposes Revanth Calling Sonia Telangana Amma

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP in-charge Tarun Chugh on Wednesday objected to Chief Minister-designate A. Revanth Reddy calling his party’s former president Sonia Gandhi as Telangana amma and said his comments mirror a divisive mentality. “This attitude has left states like UP, Bihar, MP, Rajasthan and Bengal left behind calling them Bimaru states,” he said.

Speaking with media persons, he said, “The states were taken forward by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now all states are being developed equally. They are becoming part of the nation's growth in making a united India. Revanth Reddy is only airing the divisive attitude of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.”

Commenting on the opposition’s I.N.D.I.A. block, Chugh opined that the dreams of a dozen leaders to become the Prime Minister will remain a pipe dream. “Leaders who are autocratic and who have inherited power want to bring a weak government in the country so that they can loot the nation. But the people will choose Modi who has the foresight to take the country forward,” he said.

The insulting and divisive comments in the name of north, south and caste will not be accepted any more, he said, and added that the unity that is inherent in the nation will prevail and the opposition will be taught a lesson democratically.
