HYDERABAD: AICC state in-charge Manikrao Thakre said that the BJP’s plans to cause political damage to Rahul Gandhi were foiled by the Supreme Court, which has rendered justice. “This is a victory for democracy. Rahul, who is working for the people and unity of the country, is all set to become Prime Minister next year,” Thakre said.
Addressing an orientation program for the party cadre here on Sunday, he said, “The BJP and the BRS enact a fight here while being together in Delhi. KCR has exploited Telangana and left the people to fend for themselves. He is using the swindled money to make inroads in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.”
“Even now KCR is trying to hoodwink people into believing that he has done a lot for them, only to secure their votes. Sonia Gandhi delivered Telangana to the people but only Rao benefited from it, the senior Congress leader said.
Calling on the booth-level agents to be vigilant during polls, he asked them to watch out for the malpractices that the ruling party will resort to. “These polls are very important and every leader should realise this,” he said.
