Gadkari Praises Shivraj For Developing Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal: Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday heaped praises on Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, saying that the latter turned MP, a power house of development.
Flagging off the fifth Jan Ashirwad Yatra at Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh, Mr Gadkari said that MP was earlier known for poor conditions of its roads before BJP came to power in the state in 2003.
All credits for the development of the state goes to Mr Chouhan, Mr Gadkari said.
He said that MP held the top position in the country in agriculture production for seven times on the trot, thanks to the 18-year-rule of Mr Chouhan.
He said that irrigation coverage in the state has increased exponentially under the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government.
Terming hydrogen as futuristic fuel, Mr Gadkari said that the state has the potential to become the top state in green hydrogen like it is in the field of agriculture under the BJP rule.
MP is producing thermal, hydro, wind and solar power in a big way, he said, adding that an electrolyser can be set up near the solar power facility to produce green hydrogen from water.
Like in agriculture, Madhya Pradesh can be a leading producer of green hydrogen in the country, he said.
