Jangaon (Warangal): Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao used money he made from the the Bathukamma saris to win the Singareni union elections, alleged TD state president L Ramana on Friday.
Speaking to the media here, he accused Mr Rao of buying cheap saris for women from the allocated funds and said, “Such a Chief Minister must be hanged with the same saris.”
Mr Ramana also said the state government was involved in several mafias. “The state government allotted Rs 200 lakh-crore for revising the irrigation projects in the state while just Rs 10 lakh crore was enough. This is unnecessary expenditure, he said.
