TJS to back Gaddar if he is common candidate in Munugode
HYDERABAD: Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) founder-president Prof. Kodandaram alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was trying to divert the attention of the people from the misdeeds of the TRS government by floating the Bharat Rashtra Samiti.
Rao and his family members had amassed massive wealth after coming to power, he alleged. The people were waiting for a chance to give them a befitting lesson, he said. Realising this, Rao was diverting attention away from his corrupt deals by elevating the TRS to the BRS, Prof. Kodandaram said.
The TJS president said that the party would field a candidate in the Munugode byelection. “If balladeer Gaddar contests as a common candidate, we will support him,” Prof. Kodandaram said.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, Prof. Kodandaram said that Rao was trying to get the support of the people in different states by hyping the welfare schemes, but the TJS would highlight Rao’s failures. People have failed to get minimum needs, employees are unable to get salaries on the first day of the month, he said.
“He deceived the people over several issues including KG to PG free education, 2BHK houses, thee acres land for Dalits”, he said. Rao was greedy for instant benefits and he preferred political benefits, Prof. Kodandaram said, adding, “Under the aegis of Joint Action Committee (JAC), we protected the separate statehood movement when KCR tried to deviate from the cause.”
Prof. Kodandaram said that they the TJA would release notes on failures and corrupt practices of the TRS government on a regular basis. The sentiment of people was hurt with the decision to discard Telangana from the party name, he said.
