BRS will outplay all opponents in the next Assembly elections: Harish Rao

Adilabad: Cashing in on the cricket fever that has engulfed the nation, courtesy of the ICC World Cup 2023, and making dexterous use of the sport’s terminology, health minister T. Harish Rao said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will hit a sixer while the Congress will be run out and the BJP will score a duck in the next Assembly elections in the state.

He said that Chandrashekar Rao will steer the BRS to power by scoring a century (helping win 100 seats) and likened the Congress party to the current West Indies cricket outfit, which has failed to make the World Cup grade.

Harish Rao was addressing a public meeting in Chennur after inaugurating development works worth Rs 50 core, including a 50-bed hospital, and laying the foundations stone for a lift irrigation project being established at a cost of Rs 80 crore at Padthanpalli village in Mancherial district.

He asked BJP president J. P. Nadda to float a deposits committee as ‘‘Telangana Gadda is BRS Adda’.

He alleged that the Congress party was trying to win elections in Telangana with the corrupt money brought from Karnataka. He said TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy does not know anything about Congress, which he used to criticise when he was with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He said that Reddy keeps changing parties and people don’t know which party he will be in on the morrow.

Rao recalled that Congress seniors like N. Kiran Kumar Reddy joined the BJP, Botsa Satyanaraya went to YSRCP and K. Keshav Rao moved to BRS.

He wondered why the Congress government was not implementing Rythu Bandhu and the Rs 2,000 pension and Kalyana Lakshmi schemes in Chhattisgarh.

Harish Rao said the face of the Chennur constituency has changed with the developmental activities under the leadership of MLA Balka Suman, who was also the force behind the creation of Chennur revenue division.

Suman, Peddapalli MP Venkatesh Netha and others were present on the occasion.
